Dear Lord, my cousin went to the psychiatrist today - his mother, sister and nieces had traveled a long way to be by his side. Lord, something is terribly wrong with him - his 2nd wife has him in a stranglehold - ever since he met her he has not worked or led a good life. Lord, it is pathetic to see his old mother struggling for his sake. His father is nearly blind in both eyes and still walks everywhere instead of going by bus or auto just to save money for the son's medications. His sister has faced great discrimination in her family due to her brother's illness, divorce etc. The nieces are very small and they live in dread of their uncle becoming completely mad or commiting suicide. His 2nd wife is destroying his self-esteem, confidence and keeps him as her slave - he sits at home the whole day long and looks after someone else's dog for his wife's sake. He has to clean the house, wash the floor, toilets, dishes, clothes etc and even cook for her. Though he is ill, she continually nags him to work (knowing fully well that he cannot work), criticizes his family, puts him down constantly, lists all the money she has spent on him, the things she has bought him and emotionally drains him. She is emotionally unstable and she has destroyed my cousin. There is no laughter on his face. He is sad, forlorn, neglected, unwanted and desperate - Lord, You must do some miracle in some mighty way and rescue my cousin from the grip of the devil. Recently he lost his son also. Lord, please do a wonderful miracle at least for the sake of the old parents, sister and nieces. Let them not have to suffer so much for their son's sake. Let my cousin not be an unbearable burden to his family. His 2nd wife is a foreigner and she keeps moaning about the lack of money - she wants to return to her homeland and she keeps threatening to leave him or send him out of the house. Since he is mentally tired and taking medicines, he becomes more afraid and is unable to take any decisions. She is very much older to him and has made him into an old, tired, worn-out, extremely unhappy person. Lord, I have begged You many times, please this time answer my prayers - miraculously save my cousin and end all our sorrow. I am very afraid that she might be hooked on drugs and might have made him also into an addict. He is not supposed to even drink alcohol because of the medicines, but she makes him drink. Because of this suspicion, I am afraid to be friendly with them but I am helping my cousin for my aunt's sake. I am afraid of being drawn into some big spiral from which I cannot come out. Lord, please make him read the Bible everyday - talk to him Father, touch his heart, heal him and make him return to his parents. Let him be a good son to his parents and let him always be surrounded by good people. Remove the devil's grip on him - Lord, only You can rescue his soul. Remove his delusions, his fears, hallucinations, tiredness, ignorance and pour Your Divine Light, Mercy, Compassion and Love into his heart. Wash him with your precious blood Jesus. Jesus, Jesus, also enter into my aunt's and uncle's hearts and into the hearts of my parents. Let my whole family worship You, Jesus, son of the mighty God. Let them shun idol worship and heathen rituals. Jesus, please work a miracle for us instantly. Lord, my cousin has wasted away so many years ( since 2000) and is still wasting his life and destroying everyone's peace of mind. Jesus, please solve this problem and make us all a blessing in others' lives. Amen.
